American Gangster, the upcoming film directed by Ridley Scott (Alien, Gladiator) is set for release on November 2nd, 2007. The film is based on the true story of the Harlem drug kingpin Frank Lucas, played by Denzel Washington, and the detective bent on bringing him down played by Russell Crowe. Lucas, the 70’s heroin dealer is known for his “cadaver connection” in which drugs were smuggled into the U.S. via the caskets of returning dead soldiers from Vietnam. The film not only stars the two arguably BEST ACTORS in the industry today, but also T.I, Rza, Anthony Hamilton and Common.

all hype on this movie until i saw that nicky barnes is being played by Cuba Gooding Jr. How you going to have Nicky Barnes being played by someone who stared in "best in show!?!"
